JD Finish Line is hiring Store Management for its Aurora Mall location, seeking Assistant Store Managers and Supervisors to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Managers will recruit, train, and coach teams, manage inventory and merchandising, oversee financial performance, and represent the store in the community while working in a fast-paced retail environment where career growth and DE&I are emphasized.

## Key Responsibilities

- Recruit, train, develop, and lead a motivated retail team; foster a positive work environment and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance.

- Create and maintain an exceptional customer experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and enforcing high standards of customer service.

- Drive store sales and profitability through merchandise management, promotional strategies, achieving sales targets, and analyzing sales data.

- Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, store maintenance, and compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.

- Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze performance data to optimize revenue and meet KPIs.

- Implement local marketing initiatives and build community relationships to enhance brand presence and attract customers.

- Stay current with industry trends and competitor activity; identify and implement operational improvements and innovative solutions.

- Perform additional duties and special projects as required by store or company needs.

## Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.

- Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.

- Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays; punctuality and regular attendance are required.

- Proficiency with basic computer applications and retail management software.

- Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.

- Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly and perform business-related mathematics.

- Ability to perform physical demands of the role including prolonged standing (5–14 hours per day), stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting regularly 5–25 lbs (weights may sometimes be higher), and occasional ladder/stair use.

## Preferred Qualifications

- 2+ years of retail leadership or store management experience (strongly preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Demonstrated success meeting sales targets and managing teams in a KPI-driven environment.

## Compensation & Benefits

- Assistant Store Manager pay range: $17.38 - $23.50 per hour, with bonus opportunities if store KPIs are met.

- Supervisor pay range: $18.00 per hour.

- All roles are eligible for the company 401(k) plan.

- Full-time roles are eligible for medical, dental, vision, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off.

## Additional Information

- Location: Aurora Mall store (store number referenced as 00726 Aurora Mall).

- Scheduling: Assistant Store Manager typical standard work week is 5 days and averages 44 hours (may increase during peak periods); Supervisor minimum standard is a 30-hour work week with 5 days of availability required.

- Availability required to open and close store (mornings, days, nights), weekends, and holidays.
